I Paint and Write

I paint and I write and I act and I draw
And I mash on the keys, and I play my guitar
I manipulate my sitar in my old papasan
As people walk by and ask what I am on.

But I stretch and I yawn and keep
singing the song
That I feel should be sung at that
particular time,
I let loose with my knowledge of rhythm and rhyme,
And I'm picking up theory, albeit quite slow,
But in time I'll know how to put on a great show,
carve my name in a cloud like the gurus before,
Like John Sebastian, my protege's will adore me.
I'll start a new movement and change a few lives.
