My prayers are with Helen. We can never bring back those we've lost, but we can fight for those who are still here and those who are yet to be diagnosed. And Helen's right - Spencer would be proud.

Helen is in my deepest thoughts, and I agree with her. Spencer would be proud. Each one of these stories is like a candle that comes out into the dark night. Eventually, when we have enough of them, we will illuminate even the blackest shadow and ho…

Spencer Bell Legacy Project

a nice note from Angelique

Each of you needs to know how important you are to our "quilt" of music and message here on the SBL. Together we're a really warm blanket!!!

Thank you so very much for all that you've shared and continue to share with us. Spencer has come to mean so much to so many of us; he's become a part of our daily lives, a part of our musical playlists, a part of our hearts... and to some of us a part of our very souls. He's become a family member that we never had - the cool brother that will messContinue

From Lisa Johnson - very cool "Beautiful More So" story

"Hey Bill, I just wanted to tell you a little story. I shared Spencer's music with my friend Justine. She is the Vice President of the Invisible Children chapter at my school. Invisible Children is a nonprofit working to stop a 26 year war in Northern Uganda where they abduct children and use them as soldiers and sex slaves. Justine made a video of all of the things we did this year, and in it she used Beautiful, More So. I just wanted to share the video with you and show you my friends whContinue

The music travels on.....

Welp, we keep listing the countries where people have found Spencer's music (it doesn't matter how, really, does it?).....

Selina is in Italy and she sent cash to me a long time ago (dangerous, but there was no other way!).....I sent her a package that the post office all but assured me wouldn't likely make it because it had a tee-shirt in it (Italy has very strict rules)...

Today I received this from Selina.....:

Hi Bill!!
How are you? I hope everything it's ok!!

When Spencer and Brady were little...

We used to tell them that Rudolph and the other reindeer would probably be hungry by the time they got to Michigan, so we'd put whole carrots on the front porch before bed (in addition to the regular milk and cookies and slim jims or whatever we'd leave out).
When the boys were asleep and all of the assembly and batteries, et al, were taken care of for the Christmas a.m. toys, I'd go to the front porch and take bites out of the carrots and make little gnawing marks in them...Then I'd go out to t… Continue

Hey Bill, I never got a chance to tell you that I received the package you sent of the 2 CDs and the t-shirt. Life's been hectic here, but I just wanted to let you know that I got it. (Figured it would be better to tell you later than never...) Thank you very much!! :)

I did not know Spencer personally...but I feel his loss by the people he inspired and the music he created to inspire us with. It is a sad occasion to think that he will no longer be able to create such amazing music for everyone, and I wanted to personally thank you for keeping his name and music alive. Without the people who run this site, the myspace, twitter and face I would not be aware of how wonderful SB was and is. Thanks.

Spencer has come to mean so much to so many of us; he's become a part of our daily lives, a part of our musical playlists, a part of our hearts... and to some of us a part of our very souls. He's become a family member that we never had - the cool brother that will mess with you every step of the way, but unexpectedly lends you sage advice when you didn't realize you most needed it; the distant cousin that you hear from now and again, but mostly whom you hear the most interesting stories about; the son who you always worry about what, wondering what he's getting into now, yet knowing he's doing everything his own way and he'll always tell you he's doing fine. Spencer has become a part of us all, even those who don't yet realize it. I might never have met Spencer, but I'm infinitely richer for having come to know him.

"Roll with the wind, you soul rich tumbleweed..."

We love you, Spencer Bell.
